This recording talks about using objects to help participants reflect on their mindset towards decluttering. Julie had participants pick up an object near them and describe it in detail to bring up associated thoughts, feelings and memories. This exercise helped some members realize that the longer they held onto an item, the more emotions and memories surfaced. The discussion then centered around how being more mindful of the objects surrounding them can help with their decluttering journey. Members also shared how the exercise brought up emotions related to grief and loss, and the importance of self care during those times.
As you learn more about your own mindset and about your items, try the exercise and discover what items truly matters to you in your journey to achieving the life that you always wanted.
